Cinc Syrskyi Discusses Russian Drone Attack On Poland With Polish Military Chief

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Syrskyi stated this on Facebook following a conversation with the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Wiesław Kukuła.

The AFU Commander-in-Chief expressed deep gratitude to the Polish people and military for their constant support of Ukraine, as well as for military and logistical assistance.

“We highly value Poland's provision of resources for the training of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the general emphasized.

Syrskyi noted that he informed his Polish counterpart about the operational situation at the front and the current needs of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

“We also discussed other issues of mutual interest, in particular in the context of the Russian Federation's drone attack on the territories of Ukraine and Poland,” the Commander-in-Chief noted.

Syrskyi stressed that“another act of aggression from Moscow only reinforces the conclusion: there is a need to invest more in the effective security of NATO's eastern flank, and in the security of our country, which is the first to repel the strikes of the Russian aggressor.”

He expressed confidence that this will serve as a signal for everyone to adopt a more active position.

As reported by Ukrinform, overnight on September 10, about 20 Russian drones entered Polish territory. Several of them were shot down.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that the night incursion of Russian drones“was not an accidental event.”

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk declared that Warsaw will work closely with Kyiv on countering Russian drones.
