Labor Minister Graduates 21 VTC Trainers

Amman, Sep. 11 (Petra) – Minister of Labor, Dr. Khaled Bakkar, on Thursday sponsored the graduation ceremony of the first group of 21 Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) trainers at Luminus Technical University College (LTUC).
The training initiative is part of the activities of the Integrated Skills Development Project for Youth, Women, and Syrian Refugees in Jordan, funded by the European Union.
The program, which is part of the Ministry of Labor's efforts to support Jordan's technical education and vocational education institutions, was attended by partners and stakeholders.
According to a ministry statement, the alumni received training in the e-systems and hybrid car maintenance program.
The training aims to build the capacity of VTC trainers, enhance their skills, and provide them with modern training tools that boost quality of programs provided to trainees benefiting from the VTC's courses.
Touring the college's modern and advanced engineering workshops and laboratories, Bakkar visited Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair School of Advanced Computing (ASAC), which houses the latest equipment to hold specialized programs in advanced computing fields.
Bakkar also reviewed achievements of the college's School of Automotive Technology, the first of its kind in the region, offering both Bachelor's and British Diploma programs in Automotive Engineering Technology.
During his visit, Bakkar met with a number of students and discussed technical education and the ministry's financing programs to support entrepreneurs, who graduate from technical and vocational tracks.
