Ukraine Drone Attacks Claim Two Lives in Russia's Belgorod

(MENAFN) Two civilians were killed and another seriously wounded after Ukrainian drones launched a series of attacks across Russia’s Belgorod region, according to regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

In a statement posted to Telegram, Gladkov reported that drones hit three separate districts, with one directly targeting a civilian vehicle.

“In the area of Masychevo hamlet of Graivoron district, as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on a ‘gazelle’ vehicle, the driver was killed,” he wrote.

Another fatality occurred in Novaya Tavolzhanka, located in the Shebekinsky district, where a drone detonation left a man critically wounded.

“The doctors did everything possible, fighting for his life until the last moment, but the injuries turned out to be incompatible with life,” Gladkov said.

A third attack in the vicinity of Borki village, within the Valyujskii district, injured another civilian.

“Another civilian resident was wounded from an FPV-drone strike on a car in the vicinity of Borki village, Valyujskii district,” the governor wrote.

The victim was rushed to Valuyka Central District Hospital in critical condition, suffering from mine-explosion trauma and severe abdominal injuries. The vehicle involved also sustained significant damage, according to Gladkov.

No independent verification of the incidents was immediately available.
