Tajikistan Independence Day - United States Department Of State

On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I am honored to convey my warm wishes to the people of Tajikistan as they celebrate 34 years of independence on September 9. 

The United States is firmly committed to supporting Tajikistan’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. In the more than three decades of Tajikistan’s independence, we have made significant progress together across a wide array of important bilateral and regional issues, including celebrating ten years of engagement through the C5+1 diplomatic platform. We look forward to strengthening our partnership in the year ahead to further enhance economic cooperation and address our shared security interests in the region. 

We extend our congratulations to the people of Tajikistan on this momentous day.
