Nasimi Festival In Azerbaijan Set To Dive Into Timeless And Spaceless Notions
The exhibition will open on the festival's first day, September 23, at the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum.
The exhibit will unfold like a tapestry woven with the threads of Nasimi's poetry and philosophy, intertwining with the rich fabric of Sufi traditions and perspectives, all harmoniously expressed through a symphony of diverse art forms. Rare art pieces have been selected from leading museums in Azerbaijan and Türkiye, including the Ethnography Museum in Ankara, the Türbeler Museum in Istanbul, and the Mevlana Museum in Konya, alongside unique works from the collections of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum.
Visitors will have the chance to feast their eyes on a treasure trove of paintings, clothing, carpets, musical instruments, manuscripts, and other priceless artifacts that span the seventeenth to the twentieth century. Every piece is a window into the Sufi perspective, showcasing the heart and soul of Sufism and Hurufism, where boundless love, spiritual upliftment, and a deep connection to the Divine are the name of the game through heartfelt devotion.
The exhibition will remain open until October 23.
