40Th Arab Handball Clubs League To Kick Off Fri. In Kuwait


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 11 (KUNA) -- The 40th Arab Handball Clubs League and Cup Championship kicks off in Kuwait tomorrow, Friday, with 11 teams participating.
The teams participating in the tournament, which continues until September 22, were divided into two groups. The first one includes Kuwait SC, Al-Ahly SC, Naft Al-Basra SC, Kadhma SC, and Al-Tali'aa SC.
The second group includes the National Bank of Egypt, Al-Hashd of Iraq, Qatar SC, Al-Sulaibikhat of Kuwait, Al-Shabab of Syria, and Al-Nawaeer of Syria.
The opening match will bring together Kuwait SC, the host and title holder, and Al-Tali'aa SC of Syria.
The Arab Handball Clubs Championship, which kicked off in 1976, is an annual competition that brings together the champions of local leagues in Arab countries and is organized by the Arab Handball Federation. (end)
