Daily Parcel Train From Kashmir To Delhi From Saturday: Rail Minister

Srinagar- The Union Railway minister on Thursday said that the Railways will introduce a daily based parcel train service from Kashmir Valley to Delhi, carrying apples. The service will start from September 13.

In a post on X, Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said two parcel vans carrying apples from Budgam to Delhi ran today.
In a much needed relief to Kashmir fruit growers, the minister said the service will now be introduced on a daily basis from Saturday.

“With the Jammu-Srinagar line operational, the Kashmir valley has better connectivity. Railways is introducing a daily time-tabled parcel train from Badgam in Kashmir Valley to Adarsh Nagar station in Delhi starting 13th September 2025,” he posted on X.

He added that loading of 2 parcel vans carrying apples from Budgam to Delhi began today.
