Kuwait Takes Part In Baghdad Int'l Book Fair


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Sept 10 (KUNA) -- A number of Kuwaiti publishing houses, alongside Arab and Foreign houses, are taking part in the 26th Baghdad International Book Fair launched Wednesday in Iraq.
Inaugurating the fair was Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani, who underlined the significance of culture and called on writers and intellectuals to document what is happening in their homelands, so that it remains engraved in history.
He welcomed Qatar as the fair's guest of honor, represented by Qatari Minister of Culture Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
The fair, which includes a number of events and activities, will last until September 21. (end)
