National Director To Produce New Short Film

Director Ali-Sattar Guliyev is preparing to release his new short film "Charlotte", produced with the support of the Azerbaijan Film-Makers Union (AKI), Azernews reports.

The film, shot in the melodrama genre, tells the story of a young man who, before leaving for abroad, tries to find a loving home for his beloved cat. But as the director himself admits: "Charlotte" is not just a story about saying goodbye to a furry friend. It's a film about those small and big moments of parting that leave a lasting mark on the heart."

The film is intended for viewers aged 12 and older. The premiere of the 13-minute film is scheduled for 2026.

The scriptwriter and producer is Ali-Sattar Guliyev, cinematographer – Vasif Valizadeh, production designer – Sabina Jafar.

The cast includes People's Artist Shamil Suleymanli, actors Murad Shukurlu, Abulfaz Iskenderov, Sara Ismayilova, and Rustam Babazadeh.

The project was implemented with the support of the Azerbaijan Film-Makers Union (AKI), as well as with the organizational assistance of Ultra Production and Cult Baku. Media support was provided by İTV, CNF Production, and Narimanfilm.

Note that Ali-Sattar Guliyev is the director of the films "Goodbye, Schmidt!", "Olympia", and "When the Stadiums Go Silent".
