Polish Authorities Confirm Russian Drones Violated Country's Airspace


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The head of the Polish government announced this on social media X , according to Ukrinform.

“Last night the Polish airspace was violated by a huge number of Russian drones,” Tusk said.

He added that“Those drones that posed a direct threat were shot down.”

“I am in constant communication with the Secretary General of NATO and our allies,” the prime minister added.

According to Reuters , the Polish military command said that drones repeatedly violated Polish airspace during the Russian attack on Ukraine, but operations to neutralize these violations have already been completed.

The command noted that radars tracked more than 10 objects, and those that could pose a threat were“neutralized.”

“The search and efforts to determine the potential locations where these objects fell are ongoing,” the statement said.

The command thanked NATO air command and the Netherlands for their assistance in shooting down the drones and urged people to stay at home, adding that“this is an act of aggression that poses a real threat to the safety of our citizens,” Reuters reports.
