Arab League Council Deplores Israeli Occupation Attack On Qatar

CAIRO, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- The Arab League Council, at the ministerial level, condemned on Tuesday the Israeli occupation's brutal aggression on the Qatari capital of Doha, affirming that it is a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter.
In a statement, the council stressed its absolute rejection of the attack, terming it as a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable violation that threaten international peace and security.
It warned against the consequences of the Israeli occupation's escalation that puts the region's stability and security at "stake".
The council expressed its full solidarity with Qatar to ensure its stability, safety and territorial integrity, stressing support to any measures it takes to protect its security and stability, the statement noted.
It called on the international community to bear its ethical and legal responsibilities, and to compel Israel to stop its escalation and repeated attacks on the region's countries as and abide by international law, international humanitarian law as well as international legitimacy resolutions.
