Belarus Condemns Poland’s Diplomat Expulsion Move
(MENAFN) Belarus on Tuesday denounced Poland’s move to expel a Belarusian diplomat and halt border traffic during the Zapad-2025 military exercises, describing the actions as provocative.
“We believe that this is an element of a provocative policy coordinated with the Czech side against the Belarusian state with the aim of further escalating tensions both in interstate relations and in the region as a whole,” the Foreign Ministry in Minsk stated in a declaration.
The ministry further remarked: “These measures will not go unanswered. The decision of the Belarusian side will be made public in the near future.”
Additionally, Belarus reported that it submitted a verbal protest to Poland’s charge d’affaires in Minsk, Krzysztof Ozanna, regarding Warsaw’s suspension of border movement amid the Russian-Belarusian military drills.
The Zapad-2025 exercises, which involve joint forces from Russia and Belarus, are planned to take place in Belarus from Sept. 12 to 16.
