Amman, Sept. 10 (Petra) -- The Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) has concluded the Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) training course, held under the supervision of the JTAC School and attended by the RJAF Commander.
The 12-week course, delivered by internationally accredited Jordanian instructors and evaluators in cooperation with trainers from the United Kingdom, Poland, and Belgium, was designed to enhance interoperability in close air support operations.
The program brought together officers from allied and partner countries, including five officers from Saudi Arabia, five officers from Indonesia, two non-commissioned officers from the United States, and three Jordanian officers. The multinational participation underscored the importance of collaborative training in modern joint operations.
The curriculum featured a combination of theoretical instruction, advanced simulation exercises using the newly introduced mobile simulator system, and live-fire training with fighter aircraft and helicopters. The exercises focused on executing close air support missions, integrating air and ground assets, and testing coordination between artillery units and special operations forces within realistic operational environments.
Officials noted that the course forms part of broader defense cooperation between the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army and partner countries, conducted within the framework of memoranda of understanding related to JTAC operations.
The closing ceremony, attended by senior Jordanian Armed Forces officers and several defense attachés, saw the RJAF Commander award certificates and commendations to the graduates in recognition of their achievement.
The JTAC course reflects Jordan's continued commitment to strengthening joint operational capabilities with partner countries and enhancing the readiness of its armed forces for modern battlefield requirements.
