Gaza’s Flotilla states main ship got attacked by drone
(MENAFN) Gaza’s Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) announced that one of its main ships was allegedly attacked by a drone at the shore of Tunisia on Tuesday’s morning. However, the Tunisian authorities have denied the claims.
In an announcement released by a Tunisian state news agency, Tunisa's Interior Ministry refuted reports that the Portuguese vessel had been assaulted by a drone while set in place outside the dock of Sidi Bou Said.
The media organization also mentioned that the ministry stated police examined the area and confirmed that the life jacket was set on fire which caused the incident. The fire got quickly maintained and there were no injuries or property damage aside from the burning of few life jackets.
Early in the morning, GSF stated that the ship was attacked by a drone in Tunisian waters.
GSF said “all passengers and crew are safe.” In addition, “an investigation is currently underway, and when more information is available, it will be released immediately.”
