Coursera introduces region-aligned pricing to make learning up to 60% more affordable in India

(NYSE: COUR), a leading global online learning platform, today announced a new course preview experience and localized pricing to make world-class content and AI-powered tools more accessible and affordable for learners in India. The launch is a major step towards Coursera’s aim to help learners worldwide master the right skills to grow their careers.

Replacing the previous audit experience, the new model gives learners access to the first module of nearly every course on Coursera for fre— — with graded assignments, video content, and AI-powered support features like Coursera Coach, when available within the course. This deeper, more interactive preview allows learners to explore content meaningfully before committing to a full course.

Cour’era’s new localized pricing in India includes:
. Professional Certificates and Specializations starting at 1,699/month (up to 60% less expensive)
. Coursera Plus (Monthly) subscription at 2,099 (60% less expensive)
. Coursera Plus (Annual) subscription at 13,999 (60% less expensive)

Coursera Plus provides learners with access to more than 10,000 courses and Professional Certificates from more than 350 university and industry partners. Learners interested in an individual course can still enroll for 2,699.

This launch is part of a global rollout across more than 100 countries. Early tests show that access to the full suite of course features, including assignments and AI tools, drives stronger engagement and completion rates. With 31 million learners, India i’ Coursera’s second-largest market globally and the global leader in GenAI course enrollments, surpassing 3 million to date.
