Kuwait Amb. To Saudi Arabia Emphasizes Leveraging Digital Tools To Alleviate Suffering

RIYADH, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and the Permanent Representative to the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Sheikh Sabah Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah emphasized cooperation to face challenges using digital means, Monday.
This came in a speech by Sheikh Sabah during the 5th Digital Cooperation Diplomacy event, dubbed Diplomatic Connect, organized jointly by the Kuwaiti Embassy and the DCO.
Sheikh Sabah stressed during the event on the need of supporting humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of people by utilizing digital means, emphasizing that the DCO has sought since its establishment to accelerate growth for an inclusive economy and enhance digital development.
He pointed out that this dialogue comes at a time when Kuwait places greater importance on digital transformation to serve its new Kuwait 2035 vision.
For her part, Secretary-General of the DCO Deemah Al-Yahya said in her speech that the event comes at a critical time as the world witnesses more than 122 million refugees due to wars and crises.
The discussion brought together ambassadors from multiple states alongside international partners in a dialogue to promote ways to harness technology for community empowerment. (end)
