ACC Issues 26,729 Certificates Of Origin Over Past 8 Months-Data

Amman, Sept. 6 (Petra) -The number of certificates of origin issued by Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) rose to 26,729 over the past eight months of this year, compared to 25,400 certificates during the same period last year, marking an increase of 5.2% over 2024.
The ACC's certificates of origion were issued for export of goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries.
According to ACC's statistical data obtained by "Petra," the value of certificates went down by 9.3% over the January-August period, falling to JD854 million, against JD942 million for the same period last year.
The data indicated that Iraq was the top importer from the Kingdom, in terms of the certificates' value worth JD387 million under 2,305 certificates, followed by Saudi Arabia at approximately JD71 million with 6,079 certificates.
Egypt's imports came third at about JD60 million through 699 certificates, while Syria ranked 4th at JD53 million, with 2,644 certificates.
Meanwhile, exports to the UAE stood at JD47 million with 2,971 certificates, as these Arab nations were the leading five countries in terms of both number and value.
In terms of product types, value of exports over the past eight months of foreign products (goods of foreign origin) reached JD435 million, while industrial products stood at JD157 million.
Exports of agricultural products reached JD119 million, while Arab products hit JD74 million (goods of Arab origin), and the remainder went to other products.
