"Agricultural Research, JAPCO Seek Further Cooperation

Baqa'a, Sept. 5 (Petra)-- The National Center for Agricultural Research (NCAR) and the Amman-based Jordanian- Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company (JPACO) discussed cooperation in the areas of post-harvest research and agricultural innovation during a visit by a delegation from the company.
Director General of the Center, Ibrahim Al-Rawashdeh, highlighted how the institution may help partners advance agricultural scientific research. The meeting's discussions centered on working together to perform joint research at the NCAR's stations around the Kingdom, including contemporary technology such post-harvest procedures and freeze-drying. Studying the difficulties facing the agriculture industry and coming up with creative solutions to these difficulties were other main topics of conversation.
Additionally, it was decided to promote entrepreneurial projects in the Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator, host awareness-raising meetings with small farmers, and take advantage of the center's laboratory facilities for testing soil, water, and fertilizer.
Qais Al-Qatamin, the Director General of JAPCO, and Ibrahim Al-Sharif, the Deputy Director General, were part of the delegation.
