PSD Organizes Environmental Awareness Day In Kingdom's Governorates

Amman, Sept. 5 (Petra)-- On Friday, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) organized an environmental awareness day in several of the Kingdom's governorates. As a crucial component of the idea of comprehensive security, the day sought to foster a culture of teamwork with national and local accountability. With cooperation from all of its units and formations, the directorate had already undertaken a comprehensive environmental campaign, which this action was a continuation of.
Activities and events centered mostly on natural and tourism destinations that draw locals, particularly on Fridays, the weekend, were part of the environmental day. Promoting a positive environmental culture was the aim. Cleanup campaigns in natural areas, along beaches, and in public parks, woodlands, and archaeological and tourism sites were all part of the day.
In collaboration and coordination with other leaderships and directorates, the Media and Community Police Directorate launched mobile awareness stations and teams for this awareness day. Through direct awareness programs designed to foster a culture of conserving public spaces and safeguarding natural resources from pollution and depletion, these teams engaged with residents and tourists, offering advice on the value of protecting the environment and reducing harmful behaviors.
In addition to helping to ensure that Jordanians live in a safe and healthy environment and that natural resources are sustainable for future generations, these initiatives demonstrate the Public Security Directorate's innovative role in raising community awareness and combining ideas of environmental security, prevention, and public safety.
