Timothy J. Lombardo is Associate Professor of History at the University of South Alabama. He is a historian of the United States with interests and experitise in modern American urban and political history. His first book, "Blue-Collar Conservatism: Frank Rizzo's Philadelphia and Populist Politics," was first published by the University of Pennsylvania Press in 2018 and re-released with a new preface in 2026. His other work has appeared in the Journal of Social History, the Journal of American History, the Journal of Urban History, the Journal of Urban Affairs, Labor, and The Washington Post.
