The mystery surrounding the killing of six people in Ahmad Khan Kaley, Lower Kurram, has come to an end after a 40-year-old man, Syed Tajammul Hussain, confessed in a video statement shared on social media that he carried out the attack to avenge his brother's murder.

According to Tajammul, his brother Syed Muhammad Naqi was killed in Peshawar on 30 January 2025 by a man named Amal Din over a business dispute involving Rs120 million. He alleged that despite the case, Amal Din remained absent from court hearings.

The suspect said he had tried to capture Amal Din alive, but resistance and an exchange of fire led to the deaths of six people. He also claimed that several indirect attempts at reconciliation had been made but had failed.

Following the incident, the Turi Bangash tribes announced that consultations were underway to devise a collective strategy at the national level. Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered against unknown assailants and that Tajammul's confession is being examined.

Meanwhile, senior officials including the RPO and Commissioner Kohat are present in Parachinar to oversee the situation. Roads leading to and from Kurram district remained blocked for the second consecutive day after the firing incident.
