Jia is an academic with over 25 years of experience in teacher education across Australia and China. She is currently a Lecturer at the School of Education, where she leads the Subject Area of Development, Learning and Diversity. Holding two PhDs, one in Curriculum Leadership and the other in Educational Psychology, her work focuses on inclusive education, learner diversity, curriculum reform and teacher professional development. Informed by a non-linear academic journey and rich cross-cultural experience, Jia creates inclusive learning environments, builds research capability through mentorship and collaboration, and drives equity-oriented change in education systems through inquiry-driven, community-engaged scholarship.
