Who Is Morgan Riddle, Taylor Fritz' Girlfriend Going Viral For 'Squat & Slay' Video On US Open Railing

(MENAFN- Live Mint) Morgan Riddle, the girlfriend of Wimbledon semifinalist Taylor Fritz, has been the key highlight of his tournaments ever since 2023, when the couple met on a dating app following his divorce.

According to Men's Journal, Morgan is a tennis influencer who has self-declared a quest to make tennis“cool” again.

She leads a digital video series, called“Threads”, that focuses on tennis fashion and lifestyle through her eyes. This has become a recurring series at the tournament.

With titles like“How Wimbledon made tennis chic” and“Being the best means being stylish,” the“Threads” series appeals directly to fans on the fashion side of the sport, a niche that has been the entry point to tennis for many of the young audiences that these tournaments are targeting.

Morgan Riddle, 27, is a Minnesota native who attended Wagner College in New York City and had multiple internships.

“By the end of my junior year, I had completed seven internships,” she said in a Wagner College video about the Class of 2019 member.

Morgan explained that the internships included gigs at a magazine, a newspaper, a government office, a coffee company startup and a real estate company, with tasks including social media.

Morgan Riddle promotes fashion and explains 'tenniscore'. She has worked with the All England Club to create video segments called“Wimbledon Threads.”

Wearing brands such as Chanel and Jimmy Choo, she details trends like“tenniscore.”

“'Tenniscore' isn't just about pleated skirts and vintage polos. It's about aspirational minimalism with a competitive edge,” she said in a video last week entitled“ How Wimbledon made tennis chic.”

She added that Wimbledon has“helped tennis become the chicest sport in the world.”

Morgan isn't afraid to throw a few zingers.“Of course, we're here for the tennis, but what was once a strictly sporting event has also turned into a global fashion spectacle. I know some of you may not want to hear that but just because the fact annoys you, doesn't make it any less true,” she said.

Morgan Riddle's clips on TikTok , where she has nearly 600,000 followers, are more popular. She also has more than 450,000 followers on Instagram.

As Taylor Fritz, the fourth-ranked player, prepared to challenge Novak Djokovic in a quarter-final match at the US Open on September 2, his girlfriend went viral again by performing a balance challenge in high heels at the tennis tournament.

“U.S. Open final boss,” read Morgan's TikTok video caption, which scored more than 300,000 views.

Sports Illustrated reported that it's known as the“squat and slay” challenge on TikTok. It involved Morgan perched on a concrete railing with a glass balanced on top of her head.

Morgan reportedly performed the challenge at the stadium where Fritz was playing Djokovic.
