Civil Defense Head: Kuwait Keen On GCC Crises Management Cooperation

KUWAIT, Sept 2 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait is keen on boosting cooperation among GCC countries on crisis management, Director General of Kuwait Civil Defense, Brigadier Mansour Al-Hashash, affirmed on Tuesday.
Speaking at the opening of the 34th meeting of the GCC Civil Defense Authorities, Al-Hashash said that Kuwait was looking forward to contributing to the GCC's overall civil defense cooperation to address challenges and manage any crises.
He welcomed the GCC participants to the three-day meeting, hoping that it would add to the joint GCC collaborations on civil defense matters.
The agenda of the meeting will look into the outcomes of the 41st meeting of the GCC Interior Ministers regarding within civil defense and emergency response.
The agenda will also highlight the involvement of women in civil defense training and the exchanging expertize online among other issues. (end)
