Bahrain Extends Condolence To Afghanistan Over Quake Victims

MANAMA, Sept 1 (KUNA) -- Bahrain on Monday offered condolences to Afghanistan over the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the eastern part of the country and left hundreds of people dead or injured.
In a press release, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs voiced the Kingdom's solidarity and sympathy with the government and people of Afghanistan, and the victims' families, wishing a speedy recovery for all those injured in the quake.
Earlier in the day, Afghan authorities announced that at least 812 people were killed and over 2,800 others wounded in a magnitude 6 earthquake that rocked the country's east. (end)
