Amman, Sept. 1 (Petra) – The National Fund for Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (NAFES) of the Higher Council for Science and Technology, signed a training cooperation agreement with the Jordan Europe Business Institute's training arm "EJABI" of the Amman Chamber of Industry, to invest in human capital and boost women's role in entrepreneurship.
The program, titled "Preparing and Qualifying Women Leaders in SMEs and Entrepreneurship," aims to build leadership skills, strengthen institutional understanding and governance practices, and develop financial analysis, change and innovation management capacities in competitive markets.
A key focus of the agreement is training and capacity-building for private-sector institutions through providing administrative and financial consultancy, alongside analytical studies to support their projects and programs, with the goal of improving performance and sustainability.
It was inked by Secretary-General of the Council, Mashhour Rifai, and Senator Ahmad Khudari on behalf of the institute, in the presence of NAFES Executive Director Mo'ath Alaween , CEO of the chamber, Nael Husami, and EJABI Director General Waseem Haddad.
The partnership reflects the Council's efforts to enhance collaboration with community institutions and empower the private sector to play a central role in economic development, said Rifai. He described the deal as a foundation for long-term cooperation with the Amman Chamber of Industry to foster a competitive and innovation-driven economic environment.
Khudari highlighted the role of NAFES and the Higher Council for Science and Technology, stressing the Chamber's commitment to social responsibility and support for SMEs.
Alaween said the training program has a strategic contribution to the fund, adding that participants are eligible for a professional certificate accredited by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, enhancing their prospects for economic empowerment and sustainable entrepreneurship.
