Azerbaijan, Iraq talk about relations, normalization process


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, at the UN head office in NY, Ilham Aliyev, the Leader of Azerbaijani, and Latif Rashid, the Leader of Iraq, talked about two-sided ties as well the normalization process among their nations.

Azerbaijan's presidency stated in an announcement that Rashid praised Aliyev for the improvement in peace talks among Armenia and Azerbaijan and their normalization process deal inked in Washington.

He showed his appreciation for Rashid's commendations, Aliyev pledged that Baku will maintain its attempts to enhance the peace plan, highlighting US Leader Donald Trump’s "special" part in Washington summit.

The summit as well approached the part of multi-governmental committee in improving ties among Baku and Baghdad, as well as collaboration in energy, travel industry as well as other domains, the announcement added.

The 2 presidents also talked about collaboration within international associations, which included the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation as well as Non-Aligned Movement.
