(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- EU mission chief Nicola Orlando called on Friday for continued US-EU coordination on Libya and joint work with Libyan institutions to implement the roadmap's first phase.
In a statement, the EU mission said that this came during Orlando's meeting with the Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt.
The two parties exchanged views on various issues related to Libyan affairs, during a meeting that brought them together near the historic Arch of Marcus Aurelius in the capital, Tripoli.
They agreed to maintain dialogue and coordination, with the participation of UN envoy Hanna Tetteh to support Libya's political process and promote unity, stability, and prosperity. (end)
