KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has summoned Pakistan's Ambassador in Kabul in response to last night's drone strikes in eastern Nangarhar and southeastern Khost provinces.

Along with a protest note, the ministry warned“such actions will inevitably have consequences.”

In a statement, MoFA said:“The ambassador of Pakistan was summoned following last night's strikes in Khost and Nangarhar that left three children martyred and seven others people, including women and children, wounded. A protest letter was formally delivered.”

MoFA strongly condemned Pakistan's violation of Afghanistan's airspace and the bombing of houses of civilians near the Durand Line, describing it a clear breach of Afghanistan's territorial integrity and provocative act.

The ministry stressed that Pakistan had been clearly informed that safeguarding Afghanistan's sovereignty was a red line for the Islamic Emirate, warning that such“such irresponsible actions will certainly have consequences.”

On Wednesday night, three children were killed and seven others people, including children and women, wounded in drone strikes in Shinwari district of Nangarhar and Spera district of Khost.
