Qatar 3X3 Teams Ready To Begin U-21 European Nations League Campaign

Doha, Qatar: Qatar's under-21 men's and women's 3x3 basketball teams are set to launch their campaigns in the fourth leg of the U21 European Nations League for Youth, taking place in Debrecen, Hungary, from today.

The event features national teams from France, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania, and Qatar.

Leading the Qatari delegation is Captain Yassin Ismail, Director of National 3x3 Basketball Teams, supported by Coach Marco.

The men's team, competing in Group 2 alongside Romania and the Czech Republic, will open its matches today with a clash against Romania followed by a match up against the Czech Republic later in the day.

The Qatar's men squad includes Mohamed Hashem, Sultan Abu Issa, Bassam Hajar, and Issa Al-Attar.

Meanwhile, the women's team is drawn in Group 2 with Ukraine and France.

They will also begin their tournament today against Ukraine, before facing France on the same day.

The lineup features Sarah Al-Maadheed, Dima Al-Jassim, Dana Suleiman, and Fatima Jamal Abdullah.

In the current tournament standings, Qatar's men's team ranks second with 648.881 points, trailing leaders France (1,002.620 points).

The Czech Republic sits third (536.950 points), followed by Ukraine in fourth (510.606), Hungary in fifth (427.345), and Romania in sixth (408.897).

The men's side has shown steady improvement across the previous three legs, finishing sixth in the opener, fifth in the second, and securing a strong second-place finish in the third-earning 175 points and marking a significant step forward.

Qatar's women's team enters the leg in sixth place with 95.794 points.

The Czech Republic leads the rankings (343.467 points), with Ukraine in second (332.157), France third (316.872), Hungary fourth (202.482), and Romania fifth (159.865).

The team has accumulated 45 points from its participation in the prior three legs.
