Guterres Condemns Israeli Bombing Of Nasser Hospital In Gaza

New York, August 25 (Petra) – UN Secretary-General Ant?nio Guterres condemned the killing of civilians in an Israeli airstrike on Monday that targeted Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
The Israeli attack killed several civilians, including healthcare workers and journalists.
In a statement delivered by his spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, Guterres said: "These latest horrific killings highlight the grave risks faced by medical personnel and journalists while carrying out their vital work in the midst of this brutal conflict."
The Secretary-General called for the urgent need to respect and protect civilians at all times, particularly medical staff and journalists. He called for a prompt and impartial investigation into the incident.
Guterres reiterated the importance of allowing healthcare workers and journalists to perform their essential duties without interference, intimidation, or harm, in full accordance with international humanitarian law.
