Culture Ministry Qualified 2,000 People In Arts Training Centers

Salt, August 20 (Petra) - Minister of Culture Mustafa Rawashdeh said the ministry's strategy has contributed to qualify 2,000 trainees in arts training centers across the Kingdom's governorates in the fields of visual arts, sculpture, Arabic calligraphy and ornamentation, music, theater, and drama.
Rawashdeh's remarks came during a dialogue, titled: "The Ministry's Vision and Strategy for Developing Cultural Work," held Tuesday evening at the Salt Cultural Forum.
Additionally, he noted a total of 126 books were issued in general knowledge, literature, and science, while 100,000 books were provided to institutions and individuals nationwide.
Since the beginning of the year, Rawashdeh stated the ministry implemented 2,803 activities within its achievements in the Kingdom's cultural directorates , mainly conferences, theatrical and musical performances, film screenings, art exhibitions, and various training courses.
In the capital, Amman, he said approximately 530 activities were held across various cultural and artistic fields, adding that more than 300 projects were supported under the various relevant empowerment programs.
The culture strategy, in accordance with the ministry's vision, is based on tolerance, modernization, and development, and balances "authenticity and modernity, and brings together the past, present, and future," he pointed out.
