Dr Duygu Yengin is an Associate Professor in the School of Economics and Public Policy at the University of Adelaide. She earned her Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the London School of Economics and her PhD in Economics from the University of Rochester, USA.

Her research focuses on mathematical economics, game theory, and bargaining models, with a particular emphasis on fair and efficient allocation of economic resources in contexts marked by power imbalances. By integrating economics, law, and political philosophy, she addresses complex societal challenges such as land use, natural resource management, gender equity, Indigenous economic empowerment, and fair market design. Her work has influenced policy, including compulsory land acquisition reforms, native title negotiations in the renewable energy transition, and has been cited by the World Bank.

Dr Yengin's research appears in leading journals including Journal of Public Economics, Games and Economic Behavior, and Journal of Mathematical Economics. As co-founder and Deputy Chair (Academic) of the Women in Economics Network, she drives national and international efforts to advance gender equity in economics. She also applies her expertise to economic justice issues, including Indigenous welfare and equitable outcomes in native title and green energy transitions. She currently serves as President of the Economic Society of Australia, South Australia branch.
