"On International Youth Day, we celebrate our young nation, we honor our dedicated youth in all fields, and we celebrate the youthful spirit that drives our vision and ambitions toward global excellence," he said. "To all our youth, the sons and daughters of the homeland, we say: You are the fuel, the spirit, and the driving force of our progress. Global celebration

International Youth Day marks the anniversary of the first International Youth Year, which started on August 12, 2010. Since then, every year the world celebrates its youth as beacons of light for the future.

This year, the UN has declared the theme as 'Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond', highlighting the important role of the youth in translating a nation's ambitions and goals into reality.

In the past, this day in the UAE has been marked by government initiatives such as the establishment of the Youth Council for Government Talents in the Federal Government, which was announced last year.
