China’s Xi Reaffirms Commitment to Ukraine Peace Talks

During a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Xi laid out China's principles and perspective on the conflict, noting that intricate issues rarely have simple solutions. He also expressed China's approval of the continued communication between Russia and the United States, which Beijing views as crucial for improving relations and advancing a political resolution to the crisis.
Putin briefed Xi on Russia’s view of the current situation in Ukraine and its recent interactions with the United States. Putin expressed that Russia deeply values the constructive role China has played in seeking a political settlement.
