Gaza Genocide: Israeli Barbaric Assaults Kill Over 60,900 Palestinians
(MENAFN) The Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Monday that at least 60,933 Palestinians have lost their lives due to Israel’s relentless and genocidal military campaign in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
According to the ministry, 94 bodies were delivered to hospitals within the past 24 hours, alongside 439 newly injured individuals. This latest surge raises the total number of casualties to 150,027 amid the ongoing Israeli offensive.
“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” the statement revealed, highlighting the dire rescue conditions.
Additionally, the ministry revealed that in the last day alone, 29 Palestinians were killed and 300 wounded while attempting to access humanitarian aid. Since May 27, the number of those killed during aid attempts has reached 1,516, with more than 10,067 injured.
The Israeli military reignited its attacks on Gaza starting March 18, resulting in 9,440 deaths and 37,986 injuries, effectively breaking the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January.
In a related development, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, charging them with war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Furthermore, Israel faces a genocide lawsuit at the International Court of Justice for its ongoing operations in the Gaza enclave.
