
Police Reveal How Many Firearms Are Licensed In Kyiv
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv on Telegram .
As the police reminded, the campaign for civilians to license weapons in Ukraine began on November 25, 2024. It allows citizens who store or find firearms or ammunition without permission to license them and obtain the right to legal possession.
983 residents of the capital contacted the police, licensing 1,021 firearms, including 757 rifled weapons and 264 smoothbore weapons. In addition, more than 255,000 rounds of ammunition were licensed.

According to Ukrinform, on July 12, in the village of Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka in the Kyiv Region, during a call to law enforcement officers about domestic violence, a man detonated a grenade, injuring five police officers and killing himself.
