Kazakhstan Leads Regional Economy, Stands As Türkiye's Top Trading Partner - Erdoğan
Both leaders stressed the importance of resolving conflicts peacefully through diplomatic means. Tokayev highlighted Erdogan's significant role in mediating the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and reaffirmed the countries' shared commitment to reforming the United Nations and preserving the territorial integrity of all nations.
“Kazakhstan defends the need to preserve the territorial integrity of all countries. Kazakhstan and Türkiye will continue effective cooperation in the international arena,” Tokayev said, emphasizing plans to deepen collaboration within the Organization of Turkic Speaking States.
Erdoğan described the talks as fruitful and praised Kazakhstan's economic leadership in the region.“Kazakhstan is the largest economy in the region and our main trading partner. We discussed a wide range of areas - from defense and energy to transport, science, and technology. We also covered prospects for cooperation in mineral and rare metal extraction, expanding Kazakh oil exports through Türkiye, and developing the Trans-Caspian transport route, a modern Silk Road,” Erdogan said.
The Turkish President also welcomed Kazakhstan's decision to grant Turkish citizens visa-free entry for up to 90 days, a move expected to boost tourism and business ties between the two countries.
In conclusion, Tokayev expressed his gratitude for the constructive dialogue and invited Erdoğan to visit Kazakhstan at his convenience.
