Hulk Hogan, WWE Legend, Dies At 71
Terry Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, legendary professional wrestling icon and WWE Hall of Famer, has died at the age of 71 in Florida.
WWE confirmed his death in a statement on X, calling Hogan one of the most influential figures in professional wrestling history.
Clearwater authorities reported that police and firefighters responded to a call about cardiac arrest at Hogan's home; he died later at Morton Plant Hospital. No signs of foul play were found.
Hogan, famed for his yellow-and-red attire, massive frame, and catchphrase“Say your prayers and take your vitamins,” helped propel wrestling to global fame in the 1980s.
His rivalries with stars like André the Giant, Randy Savage, and The Rock turned wrestling into a billion-dollar industry. In 1996, he shocked fans by joining WCW and reinventing himself as“Hollywood Hogan,” a move that temporarily made WCW the top promotion.
Hogan's legacy, however, was complicated by controversies, including his 2015 firing from WWE after a leaked video of racist remarks. Though later reinstated, his return drew mixed reactions from fans and wrestlers alike.
Hulk Hogan's death closes a monumental chapter in wrestling history. Once the“Immortal” hero who inspired millions, he leaves behind an enduring impact on pop culture and the sport he helped define.
