Kuwait DM: Bayraktar TB2's Acquisition Reflects Policy Of Developing Defenses

KUWAIT, July 17 (KUNA) -- The acquisition of Bayraktar TB2 reflected the Kuwaiti leadership's keenness on developing the country's defenses, said Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah on Thursday.
In a statement by the Defense Ministry during a ceremony at Salem Al-Sabah airbase, Minister Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali indicated that including the Turkish-made unmanned combat aerial vehicle, would enhance the country's air defense and develop the capabilities of the army.
He expressed keenness on developing the army's technical staff, especially within information and data gathering to fend off all types of threats.
A briefing on the capabilities of the Bayraktar TB2 took place during the introduction ceremony. (end)
