Turkish Chief of General Staff hosts French counterpart in Ankara

(MENAFN) On Thursday, Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Metin Gurak hosted his French counterpart, Gen. Thierry Burkhard, in the capital city of Ankara.

Gen. Burkhard, who is visiting Türkiye as an official guest, was received with a formal ceremony at the General Staff Headquarters. After the ceremony, he reviewed the Honor Guard.

The two military leaders then held a private meeting behind closed doors to discuss matters of mutual interest.

Later in the day, Turkish National Defense Minister Yasar Guler also met with Gen. Burkhard, with Gen. Gurak attending the meeting as well, according to official statements shared on social media.
