Germany Maintains Arms Exports to Israel
(MENAFN) In recent months, Germany has continued to supply military equipment to Israel, even as alarming reports of potential genocide in Gaza persist.

The German authorities disclosed that between January 1, 2024, and June 26, 2025, they sanctioned the delivery of arms and military-related materials to Israel valued at €250.5 million ($290 million).
As per the official documentation, the approved arms shipment licenses totaled €161.1 million ($186.5 million) during 2024, with an additional €28 million ($32.5 million) authorized during the initial quarter of 2025.
These figures were made public in response to a formal question raised by the opposition Left Party in the German parliament.
The party has been advocating for an immediate suspension of all arms transfers to Israel.
Germany has traditionally been a firm ally of Israel. Political figures often justify this unwavering support by referring to the country’s historical obligation, shaped by the atrocities of the Nazi era and the Holocaust.
Last year, arms transfers to Israel were briefly halted when Nicaragua brought a case against Germany at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
