Honey Yields In Jordan Up 28.6% In 2024, Statistics

Amman, July 16 (Petra) -- Honey production in Jordan saw an increase in 2024, with yields 28.6% up from the previous year, reaching 418 tons, compared to 325 tons in 2023, according to the Department of Statistics' annual report.
The survey cited an increase in pollen production to 7,624 kilograms, 80.6% up from 2023.
It also showed a 5.9% drop in bee colony production last year and an 84% increase in queen bee production, compared to the previous year.
There was a 110 percent rise in the number of bee colonies, which grew to 84,442 in 2024, compared to 40,217 in 2023, the report said.
Average honey production per colony was 4.9 kilograms in 2024, compared to 8 KG in 2023, a drop of 39 percent, according to the figures.
