Turkey’s Stock Market Opens Slightly Higher


(MENAFN) Turkey’s main stock index commenced trading on Monday at 10,358.61 points, marking a marginal increase of 0.14 points compared to the previous session’s close.

On Friday, the BIST 100 experienced a 0.26% gain, finishing the day at 10,358.46 points.

The daily trading volume reached 114 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.83 billion.

By 10:25 a.m. local time (07:25 GMT), the currency exchange rates were recorded at 40.2070 Turkish liras against the US dollar, 46.9500 against the euro, and 54.1520 against the British pound.

In commodity markets, the price of one ounce of gold was listed at $3,369.90, while Brent crude oil was priced at $69.95 per barrel.
