Trump Receives Israeli Occupation's PM Amid Efforts To End Gaza War


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, July 8 (KUNA) -- President Donald Trump received at the White House late Monday the Israeli occupation's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid the former's efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
The two held the meeting in the presence of United States Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff who expressed hopes for an immediate ceasefire.
Witkoff told the press that there was finally a chance for peace in Gaza.
Trump affirmed that Hamas was eager to eager to negotiate to reach a ceasefire deal.
The President also indicated that there were no obstacles facing the talks with matters going smooth.
This is the third visit by the occupation's Prime Minister to the White House since Trump took office.
Trump announced earlier this month that the Israeli occupation agreed to a 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, paving the way for the end of the war of genocide, which began in October 2023.
Trump said on Truth Social that US-Israeli occupation representatives held a long and fruitful meeting concerning the situation in the Gaza with the Israeli occupation agreeing to conditions to finalize the 60-day ceasefire. (end)
