Amman, June 30 (Petra)-- Jordan made a strong impression at the 2025 edition of the Fancy Food Show in New York, one of North America's premier trade events for the food and beverage industry. The Jordanian pavilion featured 24 companies offering a diverse range of products, including traditional sweets, spices, gourmet coffee, chocolate, canned Middle Eastern dishes, and specialty beverages.
Organized by the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), this year's presence stood out for its scale and presentation, reflecting the growing ambitions of Jordan's food industry to expand globally. The participation also underscores the sector's readiness to compete in sophisticated markets like the United States.
The pavilion was officially inaugurated by Fathi Al-Jaghbir, President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, who emphasized the strategic value of the American market for Jordanian exports. He noted that trade with the U.S. continues to grow, thanks to the quality of Jordanian products and ongoing participation in international trade exhibitions.
Al-Jaghbir stated that such events not only open new business channels but also serve as a platform to build lasting relationships with buyers and distributors. The Chamber of Industry, he said, remains committed to strengthening the competitiveness of Jordan's industrial sector through export support, training, and targeted marketing.
Senator Ahmad Al-Khudari, JEA President, noted that this marks the 16th year of Jordan's participation in the Fancy Food Show. He described it as a crucial part of the Association's strategy to help local industries access global markets and stay on top of trends shaping the food and beverage sector.
The U.S. market, with its high purchasing power and openness to international flavors, continues to be a key target for Jordanian exporters. The existing free trade agreement between the two countries provides a favorable foundation for expansion.
Mohammad Walid Al-Jitan, representing the food and livestock sector at the Chamber, called the exhibition a milestone in efforts to boost visibility for Jordanian products. He said the increased number of participants reflects a broader commitment from the industry to strengthen its global presence.
Haleem Abu Rahmeh, Director General of the Association, highlighted the U.S. as a priority market due to its economic scale and consumer demand. He emphasized that success in this space not only increases export revenues but also helps solidify Jordan's reputation as a reliable source of high-quality food products.
He concluded by saying that the Fancy Food Show offers unmatched access to U.S. buyers and decision-makers, making it a valuable platform to enhance Jordan's brand and market share internationally.
