Duda Arrives In Kyiv On Official Visit

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) His arrival was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the social media platform X , according to Ukrinform.

“I was pleased to greet Ukraine's true friend, Andrzej Duda, at Kyiv Central Station this morning. President Duda has stood by Ukraine's side during the most difficult times of Russia's full-scale aggression. We are grateful to him and all Poles who have shown true solidarity with Ukraine. Our guest will celebrate Ukraine's Constitution Day with us and meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky,” Sybiha wrote.

The Polish Embassy in Ukraine also noted that Duda was welcomed at the station by Piotr Łukasiewicz, Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine.

Earlier this week, the Office of the President of Poland confirmed that President Duda-whose term concludes on August 5-would soon undertake a farewell visit to Ukraine.

Following Poland's recent presidential election, Karol Nawrocki, head of the Institute of National Remembrance, has been elected the next president. He will formally assume office on August 6.

Ukraine marks Constitution Day on June 28. It remains the only public holiday enshrined in Ukraine's Constitution and, for the fourth consecutive year, is being observed under martial law due to Russia's ongoing full-scale invasion.
