A 45-year-old Asian man identified as M.K.S. has been sentenced to life in prison for selling drugs to another man during a car meetup in Dubai's Jebel Ali Industrial Area.

The Dubai Court of First Instance also sentenced the second man, who bought and consumed the drugs, to six months in jail. Both men will be deported after serving their terms.

According to case records, the arrest took place in December last year after Dubai Police received a tip-off that the second defendant was using and possessing narcotics in the area. Investigators confirmed the information and obtained a warrant from the Public Prosecution to arrest him.

A team of officers tracked the suspect and found him inside a vehicle with M.K.S. When police moved in and searched them, they found substances suspected to be narcotics in their possession. A plastic bag with more of the same substance was found with M.K.S.

The suspects were immediately taken to the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, where samples were collected, and the seized material was referred to the forensic lab for testing.

The first defendant, M.K.S., was charged with drug possession and trafficking, while the second man faced charges of possession and consumption.
