Moecc Concludes Field Training Programme For UDST Students
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), represented by the Environmental Assessment and Permits Department, concluded the field training programme for students from Doha University of Science and Technology (UDST), which ran from Apr 27-Jun 26.
The programme was concluded with a closing workshop organised by the ministry to review the programme's outcomes and evaluate the participants' experiences. The programme is part of the ministry's annual plan and its efforts to enhance students' academic capabilities and link theoretical knowledge with practical experience, contributing to the preparation of qualified national cadres in the fields of environment and technology.
The nine-week programme featured introductory meetings that addressed the ministry's structure and the roles of the various departments of the environmental sector. Field visits were also organised to the ministry's laboratories and a number of leading companies in the fields of environment and recycling. Students were given the opportunity to learn about practical applications of environmental work and its various fields. The programme also featured dialogue sessions with officials and environmental experts, who discussed the topics of environmental work and the challenges facing the ministry in protecting the local environment.
The programme also included practical workshops designed to enhance students' practical understanding and address the requirements of the labour market in the environmental sector.
The ministry emphasised that this programme falls within its vision to empower students with knowledge and practical tools and develop their professional skills, reflecting its ongoing commitment to contributing to building pra new generation of environmental science specialists capable of supporting sustainable development efforts in Qatar.
