Buson Names New CEO For China

(MENAFN- PRovoke) Shanghai - Global communications agency Burson has named Maggie Lu as its new CEO for China, effective immediately. Lu will oversee the agency's business across Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, responsible for client satisfaction, agency growth and talent management. She is based in Shanghai, said Burson.

Lu brings nearly 26 years of experience to the role, the last 20 of which have been with Burson China, part of WPP China. Most recently she was managing director with Burson Shanghai.

Lu joined Hill & Knowlton (now Burson) as its senior account executive and steadily rose through the ranks, holding senior leadership roles such as senior vice president, deputy general manager and deputy managing director. Lu has counseled clients in nearly every major industry – from automotive, energy & industrials to food & beverage, lifestyle and fashion, sports and entertainment and travel and hospitality. Earlier in her career, Lu spent nearly six years as a journalist with China Daily.
